    Removing smoke smell from clothing
    Does anyone know how to remove the smoke smell from laundry that has been through a fire?

    Well it works on skunk smell and not sure it does on fire clothes.. but try squirting some crest toothpaste in the washer and wash normally.. see if that works.. just use about a quarter of the tube if that.. it is cheap and won't hurt.. just make the clothes look brighter..

I hope this is the correct category. I am a smoker (unfortunately). I just moved into a house with non-smokers. I find that when I smoke outside, than walk inside, the smell of smoke comes inside with me. Until I can quit smoking, I need to find a way (or procedure) to get the smell of smoke...

Mcsteph here again. I wish to remove a hard wired smoke detector but cannot find the fuse that switches it off. Is there a fuse or is it always on? Either way, how do I remove it without smelling like burnt pork? TKRussell? anyone?:confused:
