    Moons on fingernails
I have noticed within the past few days that the 'moons' on my fingernails are starting to disappear. Pinky finger, both hands, moons gone. Fourth finger, right-hand - gone, left-hand disappearing. Does anyone have any idea as to why this would be happening? :(

The moons? You mean the white kind spots on your fingernails?

These should always come and go... when you get one it will grow out till it gets cut. Might not come back for a while.

Actually I'm talking about the white, half-moons located at the base of each nail. Those should always be there and do not grow out with the nail.

Weird, I had to check my nails. I have them on all my fingers except for my pinkies and my ring fingers.

One of those things that you can manage to never notice! I just checked my own - only the Index & Thumb have moons. I do remember them being on every finger once up a time!

So maybe they disappear with age? Could certainly be the case with me! Thanks for the answer.
