My keyboard seems to be locked on the numbers and I can't figure out how to get it off. It will only type numbers on the right side instead of letters.

Take the Num Lock off. Most laptop keyboards have a soret of numeric keypad built into the right side of the keyboard. When Num Lock is on, these keys will enter numbers instead of the letters.
