    Hi, vonni!

I'm house and dog sitting for others right now, so I'm not at my home. I am also using their computer.

When I do get settled back home in the next day or two, I will try to find my books that are for dating pianos.

    Thanks!

I will try to help! I promise you that! If I haven't already mentioned it on this thread, most of my books are packed away in boxes because of moving them upstairs in order to make a library in one of my upstairs rooms.

You've already mentioned about how good the piano sounds. Is it also up to standard modern pitch of A=440?

Please excuse me if I've already asked that question.

    Thanks!

Not to butt in here, but a quick search revealed a Croft & Son piano & organ maker in Auckland as recently as 2004. Apparently, it is a family owned business that dates back quite some time.

    HI folkfury,

Thank you for the info.I had checked many places and I know about croft and son being in New Zealand but they have closed down.
The piano I have asked about really bugs me.
The lady I bought it from said it had been in her family for a long time.
I am confident I will find out the truth about it from someone.

    Have a good day

    Thanks!
