Species you consider should be extinct.
If you had to exterminate three types of animals -which ones would they be?
None is not an answer so please! Humans are not part of the choice. What criteria would you use?

    Me?

I'd get rid of parasitic worms, snakes and rats.

    BTW
I was tempted to say the chimp based on its nasty predisposition.

Spiders, any insect they eat so they don't grow in numbers, but honestly who here likes those things. I saw arnachopia as a youngin' and I hate spiders to this day. I mean there is nothing to like about them. They are creepy, crawly, and UGLY. First they walk on ceilings, they have a crap load of eyes, they love the dark, they HAVE FANGS, need I say more, they also spin stuff out of the stuff that come out of their back end. I know we might never have a spiderman but it's a risk I am willing to take.

Crabs, Pinworms and Lice. All of which, by the way, are driving me crazy at this very moment!

I agree about their appearance. Add all those eyes and you really have an alien among us. I would definitely not miss them. On top of that some of them can send you to infnity with just one bite and have this nasty habit of getting into your footwear. Ever see the film "The Shrinking Man"? His problem was this spider who wanted to make him his next meal.

    BTW
I don't mind their webs that much.

    I heard worms are good for you. Many people eat them and are still alive today. Protein is very important you know. (;

Are we suspending all rules of ecology, food chains and all that? Some of the candidates up for extinction will make it impossible for other species to exist. I mean I would love to never see another mosquito for the rest of my life but this is a bit like pulling a random thread in a beautifully woven quilt, isn't it?

All things considered, I would say:
    1. Sheltland Ponies (bad tempered and safe bet there about the food chain LOL)
    2. Slugs (big eeeeeewwwwwww and who cares who else that eliminates!)
    3. Those big B-52 Bomber variety of Bumble Bee (which scientists say shouldn't be able to fly anyway so hopefully no species would miss them either)

Okay okay Magpie, you win the gross-out contest, gawd!

I thought that's what the question was. I do know that many spiders and other insects play an important part.

Does anyone know what critters named here so far have no known benefit to ecology, food chains, etc.
