Just got back from an exam
I just got back from getting an exam well, I don't know anymore then I did before, but now I have a sore cervix to boot. She said I have a very anterioral tilted uterus and it took her forever to get it, and then she said she had no idea why I didn't start. She then checked my uterus and said that it is much bigger then it should be ,big enough she would normally think I was pregnant, BUT I didt have the blueish ting and the hpt they took said negative.(and therefor because the test said no, it was impossible. I don't buy that) DUH I already knew thatit would, I told them all the other tests I had taken were negative! So I spent 25 bucks on nothing. SO AGGRIVATING. So she said its possible and impossible at the same time. SOOOOO I am just going to assume I am until I get a period or a possitive test she said to just keep taking tests until I get my period. So what the heck does all this mean now? She couldn't tell me a darn thing, and now I am just sore and 25 dollars short, with her only advice of " keep taking tests, and find an obgyn."UGH! I should have just done that in the first place aparently. What does everyone else think? I'm so lost. She had no explainations

I take it this is a general practitioner? I think it is time to find someone who actually knows what they are doing with a woman's body. Time for an OB/GYN so that you can get the honest to goodness lowdown on what is going on with your body.

GPs are great, but when someone has had as many problems as you had, it is time to get an expert's opinion.

You are fortunate its only $25 - for where I live, it would have been more like $250. I liked the policy of an old chinese holistic healer I once visited. He said very sincerely, "if I heal you, pay me and if I don't, don't... but then don't come back". He was the very first to explain to me that it takes two to heal the patient, the doctor and the patient. But I have been butting heads with some doctors ever since too LOL.

I'm with J_9 about finding a specialist and if you're up to it, send off a nice note to the General Practitioner about how it seemed a waste of your time and money - they should know these things too.

I agree with both of your answers so far... girl that GP should have known what was up if she works at planned parenthood... What in the world... go to an ob... please. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you because someone didn't know what in the world they were talking about... Please, PLEASE see an ob. You might be able to get on the health care system there after you do.

Oh yeah definitely. I didn't know that they were going to be so dumb there! Everyone kept telling me in the past that if I couldn't afford to go to a ob to go to the planned parenthood. So I finally did. Never again. GRRR PUNKS! I'm having some spotting ebcause she worked me over so good. But its not uncommon to have spotting after a papsmear anyway, so I'm not worried. However, I am definitely going to go to an ob. I was just told of some good places to go that will work with me on a payment plan. The ones I had tried in the past refused to do so. SOOOO its good newsto find some. I am calling them tomarrow. Probably won't be able to get in until next week sometime. Hopefulyl I'll have the car next week too. But, anyway, I am going to just think I am pregnant until I find out differently. That's the safest bet right? I have all the symptoms and why else would my uterus be enlarged to pregnancy size?

Thank you! Does anyone know of any of reasons my uterus would be pregnancy sized, if like the test says, I am not preggy?

Not totally sure on this one, may have to do with your uterus accommodating the cyst. Did the doc say how big the cyst was?

Cyst? I don't have a cyst. She said I have a clean bill of health. And my uterus is expanded to pregnancy size, but since the test was negative she didn't think I could be pregnant. That's it.

OOps, got you mixed up. :o Sorry, was watching your post and another one.

It was planned parenthood that told you uterus was pregnant size? Did they do blood or urine pregnancy test?

I would get into that OB as soon as you can. Uterus does not expand for no apparent reason. Either you are pregnant or there is something else going on that the OB needs to check on. Good luck keep us posted.

I agree! That is what I was saying! And she was acting like it was no big deal. Hahha. So I will definitely call them. But I am going to waituntil next week so I won't be so sore from her being so rough on me yesterday. They did a urine test on me and it was negative, but I already knew it would be. That is why I was there. They really made me mad. Not going there again

I know of one possibility --- adenomyosis, which can cause the uterus to be 2-3 times normal size. It is what I had. But I would think you would be complaining of extra painful periods by now, if this was your condition.

Yeah, my periods are really easy compared to what they were before I had my first son. SO I really don't have pain anymore.

Well, the wait is over. AF has come to visit this morning...

At least you know now... I still think you should go to an ob and tell them what happened... You never know what might be going on... I am kind of surprised that AF did show up. Keep us posted. And make sure that all the poking and prodding that they did didn't harm you in some way... Just take care of yourself.

I'm just so emotionally vulnerable right now. I am in a lotta physical and emotional pain. Last night I actually began to allow myself to think that this was it, that I was preggy. Hubby and I started talking about names and boy or girl... then he left early this morning and I won't see him all week, and I started a couple hours later... and I just feel so alone and hurt right now, and just seems like my emotions are everywhere. Its like I have 2 periods rolled into one(which would make sense as I am 9 weeks late) and I am cramping really bad. My bleeding seems to be relatively light however, compared to what it usually is the first day. And I just feel so sick to my stomach. I am sure a lot of it is stress and emotions as well... but I haven't felt this bad with a period in a long time...

Honey, this is stressing you out too much, and will continue until you see a competent doctor to be reassured that you are going to be OK. We know this condition is not normal, but the only one that can help is a physician.

You only have this one body, please take care of it. Wishing you lots of luck, and good health with all my heart..

Thank you. I am definitely going to go to a doc. My last post was pretty emotional, sorry about that. My hormones were just raging, and it gets lonely with my hubby being gone at work all week. SO I was just kind of emotionally bouncing off the walls. I'm much better now. Everything is bright and sunny again. Its just not time. I'll figure something. Even if it takes clomid like that nurse said it might. But I am going to see if we can do it naturally. Because multiples is a little bit too scary of a thought for me right now. Haha. Thanks again for all the support.didnt mean to be so emotional and demanding of answers. Thanks again
