    Changing Last Name
My partner and I are planning to get married within the next year. However, neither of us wish to keep our current last name. Is it possible to create a new last name at the time of marriage and if so where could I find more information? We are living in Indianapolis, IN. I am a citizen and my partner is here on a working visa from France. She has been here for seven years.

You can change your legal name at any time. Check out thise sites:
    http://www.legalzoom.com/legalzip/na...procedure.html

    http://www.uslegalforms.com/indiana-name-change.htm

AS long as the reason for the name change is not to commit fraud, you can actually call yourself anything you want to.
