    Maytag MD5500 Gas Dryer - Does Not Turn or Run
    A bath matt got pinched where the drum rotates and it stopped the dryer.
    I dislodged the bath matt but now the dryer will not run.
    The power is on and all switches work. When the door is closed all I here
    Is an electronic 'click' when I press the RUN switch.

    I have recycled the power. Nothing.
    I cannot find any 'trip switch' or circuit breaker.

    Not sure where to go now.

    Let the dryer cool down for about 20 minutes. Then try to start again. It should work fine.
