"Waiting Game" by Yellowcard is explosive. I'd say it's alt-rock... But it's one of those songs where you really don't know if it can be performed on stage, and yet, I swear, they pulled it off so well that I wondered if it was a dream... Also, "Act V, Scene IV: And So It Ends Like It Began" by The Ataris is unbelievable, both on and off stage, but especially on. When I saw it, Kris Roe wasn't even standing by the end of the song. A very powerful experience. Again, not traditional rock, though... Going back to classical rock, I'd have to say that "Knocking At Your Back Door" by Deep Purple is awesome.
I'd also like to plug a rare French version of "Anarchy In the U.K." by the Sex Pistols. I'd not qualify that as rock, let alone punk... Let's just say that there's an accordion. Almost a bit of screamo, though, give them some credit... ;)
