    Reload page in Firefox
OK, a bit trivial... but I'm curious. I understand that hitting the Reload button compares the page with the server and if the same, shows you the cached version...

Sometimes I see my flag not waving. I hit reload and it still doesn't wave... but if I hit Shift>Reload then it reloads and is waving.

... is this just one of those odd cache handling issues that I've seen with FF in the past?

    ... just curious.

Just an FYI: I'm using IE here at work at the flag waived for a moment then it stopped. I think the wind died down here.

In IE, the "pull from server" refresh is Control > Refresh. I'll bet does the same as Shift > Reload in FF.

In Firefox - Shift + Reload FORCES the browser to go to the site and get the page - regardless of what is in cache or what cache settings you have.

    That part I understand.

... so in other words, the "compare" that it does when hitting only Reload just does not do a good job of comparing?
