What kind of plant is this?
I received a plant from my grandfathers funeral and I cannot figure out what it is! It has big green leaves that sort of resemble elephant ears but as they get larger they get slits in them... I have yet to see any flowers budding but it is turning brown and I am not sure if this is because I am overwatering or under... I really don't want it to die! HELP!

Could you post a picture of this please? Maybe we can figure out what it is if we could see a picture.
