As well there is a book I have called " What to expect when you're expecting" it has everything in it ,a month by month all the possible signs, definite signs, I got it here right now, it is like a pregnant woman's bible, or for women who think they are. It really helps.

I can certainly understand craving to be a mother. And I'm only a year older than you so this isn't entirely based on age. I was 20 when I delivered my son. But how can you provide for a child if you don't have a job and have no insurance for proper pre-natal care?

If you're unemployed and do find yourself to be pregnant, I would suggest looking into getting on your mom or dad's policy through their work. Sometimes you'll have to prove that you're a full time student to be on their policy after age 19 but a simple call to their HR department should tell you if that's an option. Going through a pregnancy without insurance can be extremely expensive. The latest estimate I heard is $3000 for doctor's fees - that was just pre-natal visits, including the standard 20 week ultrasound. Then you're looking at about another $5000 for the hospital's fees for the birth. And that's just if you have a normal, uneventful birth.

    What state are you in?

Well the blood test can already tell you at this point so I say the blood test, it can give you a trusted answer, just go for the blood test asap and boom you got your answer.

Ok, I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but where are you going to come up with a minimum of $8000 to have this baby?

Does your fiancé have insurance available to him through his work?

Well in the meantime, if you're not pregnant yet, you might want to think about waiting to Trying to conceive. There are so many medical costs involved. And I would hate for something to go awry because you couldn't afford the appropriate prenatal care.

Even once your fiancé has insurance available to him though, you probably won't be eligible for it until you're legally married. The baby would be covered once it is born, but in the meantime, all your pregnancy and delivery related costs would have to be paid in cash.

Getting married BEFORE getting pregnant would be a good idea---especially if he's got a new position coming up, because often you can add your spouse and children in the first x many days to company insurance, but after that it's not until the open enrollment dates--which at my company are in November.

His insurance will cover NOTHING for you, generally, unless you are married. Also, if you're not married, they won't cover any of the prenatal care for a baby.

Whatever happened to getting married and THEN trying to have kids? Seriously! The financial side of that alone is worth doing in that order.

Seriously--get your finances in order, between you and your fiancé, BEFORE trying to have a kid that you won't be able to afford to take to the doctor when it's sick.

My breast are big, nipples are sore, eating kind of weird, and really gassy an bloated. So I don't know if they are symptoms or not but I hope so. I've been trying to conceive since April. Baby dust... :)

Iloveshane, wait another week and re-test or go to your doctor for a blood test.

It could be that your period is just off this month or that you'll skip your period entirely. It happens to all of us.

You have been a bit stressed about this, don't lie to yourself, you come here everyday to post that you're another day late, so obviously it's on your mind, and that causes stress which can cause your period to be thrown off.

You either are or you aren't pregnant, stressing about it won't change anything. Just to be on the safe side why not get prenatal vitamins and start taking them. If you are pregnant then they're important for the baby, if not, they won't hurt you.

    Good luck.

Some women don't ever get a positive result with a hpt even when they are pregnant.

I know it's hard to play the waiting game, but worrying about it won't help.

Baby dust to you, I hope it works out for you, if not, it will one day, just remember that.

It took me 7 months of trying to conceive my son and 10 months to conceive my daughter, we were done. Then we had one night of drunken sex, forgot a condom and wham, I got pregnant. Sady I lost that one to miscarriage.

Don't give up, if you aren't pregnant now (which you don't know for sure) you will be soon.

Good luck to you, keep us posted. :)

You're 20, have only been trying for 4 months, and you're at the "I'll never get pregnant!" stage?

Honey--you haven't even seen a fertility specialist, nor have you been trying that long.

You need to see a DOCTOR, get a full checkup, and chart your ovulation.

If you haven't done those three things, and been trying a year---you really have nothing to worry about yet.

I am still of the belief, though, that you should get a job and get married to your boyfriend before TRYING to have a baby.
