Moving a switch from a wall outlet to a ceiling box?
I just recently purchased a older home (1976), there are no ceiling boxes as far as I can tell. In each bed room the light switch operates a wall outlet. My real concern is that the family we purchased the home from has installed ceiling fans with the wiring running down a chain to the wall outlet, I have a 3 year old boy and a 10 month old boy who both have tried to climb the chain already:) so I am needing to move the switch that operates those outlets to a ceiling box. Open to all suggestions, and all information is much appreciated, reference material is also welcomed (websites, books, computer programs etc.)

I would use wiremold, harder for him to climb but not as costly as having an electrician run the wires through the walls.
