    Track lighting fixture removal
    Hi,

I can't seem to figure out how to remove one of the light heads (fixtures) from the track in my kitchen. I didn't install it, and it doesn't seem to be an easy process. Any thoughts?

With typical track heads: grab the base of the light head where it attaches to the track and pull down slightly, then rotate the head about 90 degrees and the light head should release fro the track.

    Dave,

Hey, thanks for the super quick response. Whoever installed this track painted over it (and the head) so it wasn't easy to remove, but I was finally able to disengage. Couldn't have done it without you.

Anyone know why Hampton Bay track states that you cannot cut the track? Every other brand allows track to be cut to the needed length and Hampton Bay is worthless to me if I can't cut it.
