To fertilize or NOT to fertilize?
Help! The lawn at my newly constructed home came up good last spring. I fertilized in the fall and seeded twice, the first time (late Sept.) using Kent. 31 tall fescue, then I used the Rebel brand (late Oct.). The local garden shop said to weed and feed in the spring. I bought Scotts weed and feed but hesitated when I read on the bag not to use on newly formed sprigs. My lawn is NOT taking off like my neighbors. Should I use a different type fertilizer or just be patient and wait. I live in the western piedmont of NC and have red clay soil. HELP!

My father always added lime during the fall.

I don't know the answear but I would add the fertilizer just split the dose over 2 or 3 applications now and fall

It's been a month since you posted your request. This is the first I saw it (they get buried quickly with all the equipment questions that people post).

If your lawn is still not doing well post a reply to this message and I'll work with you on it.
