What kind of spider is this?
I live in Southern California next to an open field and I've seen three of these spiders (they do have 8 legs - just not seen very well) inside my house.

Attached are a couple of new photos taken from the underside of the spider - it's the best I can do.

I believe that this type of spider is called a Solpugids or commonly known as the sun spider. The ways to reduce them is any outside light replace with the yellow tented ones this reduces fewwer flying insects on witch they feed on. Seal any cracks in the outside perimeter of your home, and if you see spider webs knock them down they will have no choice to find another area to live. Hope this helps you out!:)

Yes scorpions have 8 legs, they are an arachnid. So are ticks.
