    buying shares in a company
Would someone tell me how to go about buying a few shares of stock? I am interested in only buying a few shares at a time, until I feel comfortable with it. Is this possible? Or do I have to invest a large sum of money?
    Thanks.

Have you checked into the online brokerages? Most of them have a minimum that you must deposit with them, but once you're set up, then in many cases you can buy as few individual stocks as you please.
