    weighted average method
I am having problem to figure out how to calculate the total cost of units transferred to department b and the cost of ending work in process for department a on January 31.

Here are the information that was provided:

beginning work in process, January 1: materials $4000 / conversion costs $3000
current costs: materials $20,000 / conversion costs $16,000

During the month, 45,000 units were transferred to department b for further processing; 5000 units were in ending work in process and are 50% completed as to the conversion costs. Materials are added in at the beginning of the process. The company uses the weighted-average method.

I think there might be some number missing. I have tried to calculated with the equations but I am always missing some data.

The answer for the cost of ending work in process should be $2275, right?

    $0.91/unit* (5000units at 50% completed) = $2275
