    I'm not quit sure what you mean by a 'haven' to infants and toddlers. Do you mean you want them to look up to you?

    No it's the program where if you don't want your new born or your toddler gets to be too much youcan drop them off and know they will be taken care of instead of killing or leaving them some whrer to die.

    Safe Haven laws include hospitals, law enforcement places and other health care or governmental agencies. I don't know of any state that designates individuals as safe havens. The place to check is with your local Family Services agency.

    What might be done is include you on a list of peoples for temporary foster care.

    Agreed Scott. maddiemay, this is a wonderful thing you want to do. There are so many ways to help out the kids that are in hard times. So happy you are one of the willing to do something!

    Yes, the laws vary by state, but require the facility.

    There are emergency foster care facility, people who will take a child on a short term basis anytime day or night, Then in a few days the system finds them a more lasting location.
