My 8 month old labrador has recently started peeing in the house, even though he previously knew he had to go outside to do this. Not spraying but proper pees. If I'm out and about with him, he does his no.1 and 2's no problem, but if I let him in the garden he will not do anything, until he's back inside. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but he has not been neutered yet.

8 months old is still very young for a Lab Even the best of them are still puppies until age 3. Since he will do his business when on a walk, but not at home I first need to ask, did something scare him in the yard? Start taking him out in the yard on a leash and walk him around a bit looking for signs of being afraid, or not wanting to go in part of the yard. That to me could be teltale signs of fright.

Thanks for your reply 450don. I am not aware of him being scared of anything in the garden, he doesn't seem to be scared of anything at all. I'll try walking him round the garden on his lead as suggested, and see if anything seems to frighten him. Thanks again for the advice.

Guess I should also mention that it might just be a simple case of laziness. My last Lab was from Guide Doge For the Blind and was very well trained. However laziness sometimes got the best of even him.
