    Hi, taghreeed!

What will happen is that he will want to mate with a female cat. He will spray his scent all over the place, even in places that you don't want it to be. The scent is very hard, if not all out impossible to remove. He will be in agony because he is wanting to mate, and also not in the best of temperament.

The best and most humane thing to do would be to have him neutered, or if you want him to mate with a female cat, to allow him to do that and then get him neutered.

Concerning feeding, that will depend on a number of things such as age and size of your cat as well as overall health of your cat and the needs of your cat as prescribed by your veterinarian.

I have a neutered male cat. He probably gets a total of about a half cup of dried food a day. The feeding times vary. He's about 17 years old and in great shape! Most people can't believe that he's 17!

Some people feed their cats at only certain times of the day. That's okay. If it works, it works.

My cat will bug me for attention a lot, especially when he knows that I'm going to be leaving our home. To satisfy his need for attention, I either hold him or give him just a little bit of food, depending on the situation. For instance, I may need to leave immediately, and maybe giving him a little bit of food is the thing that I have time to do.

But if I had him neutered.. won't he want to have sex again ? Or he will need the same thing but he won't spraying his bad scent ? I just want him to be happy but it's hard to find a good female cat now.. I hope your cat reaches to 100 years old! U didin't answer me could I leave him alone for few days? Thanks clough

    Hi again, taghreeed!

I'm sorry if I didn't answer your question about leaving him alone for a few days. I accidentally overlooked it.

Yes, you can do that. You just need to make sure that you have enough food and water for him. It's much easier to leave cats alone than it is dogs.

If you have him neutered, I guarantee you that he will be a much happier cat! He won't be wanting to mate and he won't be spraying his scent.
