    Joint custody
    Hi

Need some legal advice. Share joint custody of son in state of CT. Mother has stated she may want to move to another state!! What are my legal rights? I pay child support
Have him every weekend, do all his sports with him, have him every holiday. My extended family adore him , his grandparents, aunts, uncles. What can I do?? Really broken up.
    Thank you for any advice.

You need to go to court and make sure she doesn't move. Be proactive. Don't wait. If your custody arrangement doesn't talk about moving away then you need to get that in there. A judge most likely will deny her the move since your share of custody is so high. Good Luck.

Do as calif said and start acting now by making sure that your visitation is ordered by a court and petition the judge to add a moving clause in there. If she does pick up and move so that you aren't able to get your ordered visitation then take her to court for contempt. But it's much easier to take care of sooner rather than later.
