    Hi, Tracey!

What you have would appear to be an original. Is it?

    F. Claude does show up in a search.

    F. Claude Artist - Google Search

Do you know the name of the painting that you have, please?

    Thanks!

I have a watercolor commissioned by F. Claude. I found that two of his works sold in March 1992 on artnet. The site required a fee to see further information. Needless to say I did not join since my piece was purchased at a local flea market.

Do you think they may be worth anything?

Oh, I got the work in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. I am hoping that it is worth something or will be some day. Either way I really like the piece as I have many pictures of Paris.

Yes, it is identical, but at bottom right on mine. And my picture of flower stall/market in Paris near a theatre.

The antique seller asked for 180 euros - I paid him 100. I have visited several art exhibitions and have seen paintings for a lot more that weren't a patch on this - I really like it!

I just bought an original oil painting at an antique outlet signed in the lower left corner by F. Claude. I did some research online and wonder if F. Claude could be one and the same as Claude Fauchere (French artist born in 1936)? The signature is similar. The painting is a view of the Cathedral Notre Dame and is quite beautiful. Any thoughts?

Claude Fauchere signs his paintings C.Fauchere not F.Claude.
