Is there anything we can do.
I have a friend that is 18 and was born MR (mentaly Retarded) He has a 3 grade reading level. And is bipolar. Last month he and his on again off again girlfriend. Had a fight. She says that he kidnapped her and raped her. So there are like 4 different charges on him. He is not fully aware of where he is.(jail) it is like he can not comprehend the fact he is not coming home. You tell him the date and he thinks it is the next day. When you tell him no then he thinks it is the day you are talking to him. This girl is known to be a habitular lier. ( I know spelling is not my strong point) is there any laws that would help him get out of this mess. She did this because her parents told her if she spoke to him any more then she would be kicked out. And they had her bags packed. Then she come up with this story. She is 19.
