    Okay I have had a nightmare that became semi-true
    I had a dream that I was in my bedroom and looked outside and saw a gargoyle-ish creature roared outside of it and made my lungs impaired so as I could only speak a very weak tone and told it to leave and that I was not afraid of it and I felt as though I had to force something off my body as I do in all my nightmares... and others I semi halucenate and fall into a nightmare with a laugh that I would bet would make a war vetran freeze but this one was different... AND NO I DO NOT TAKE ANY FORM OF DRUGS LIQUOR OR MEDICATION... well this is the weird part... and feel free to coment on the other thing if it similar or you have opinions I am new and I don't quite understand the $$ concept... but I have none... anyway back to the story... for 3 nights after that my whole family heard what sounded like giant wing beats and claws draging on the surface of the roof and when we went to see it... what ever was there disappeared... but it came badck till the 4th day anyone who has had a similar experience or not please reply

    Can't say I have experienced anything like that. But I have had dreams come true. Nothing to worry about in that it is all to do with you and what you believe.

    Someone gave me a great piece of advice… Do what you can about the things you can do something about and simply leave the rest, because if you can't do anything about it then it isn't your problem. It's someone else's.

    All these happenings, in your dreams etc. are nothing to be afraid of. It's all a part of you, and I bet you're a pretty nice person. Holding onto and worrying about that stuff will cause more damage to your health than any scary dreams.

    The closest experience I have to that is one night I awoke and in a hypnagogic state I saw a strange being floating through the room. It was oblong, like a big refrigerator, brick red, with two antenna-like colored lights on top and a row of lights on the bottom. I jumped out of bed and was describing it to my wife as I watched it float by and out the window. I strongly sensed two things about it: First, that this was a completely real thing, and second, that it was not a machine or object but a living, sentient being.

    A few months later, I saw a picture of petroglyphs in a Smithsonian magazine, and someone in southern Utah had drawn the same being on a cliff wall 9,000 years ago. So apparently this critter has been hanging around the western U.S. for some time now, occasionally appearing to shamanically trained people.

    Anyway, I agree with Bluerose--unless it comes back, there isn't much to do about it.

    If you have problems with nightmares in general, one way to get relief is to train yourself to be a lucid dreamer. Lots of simple exercises to learn that skill are available on-line. You might want to get some kind of magic wand or other talisman, and hold it in your hand, focusing on it, as you do lucidity exercises. Then in your dreams, if you become lucid and remember it is a dream, you can immediately call the object to your hand, and use it to do magic in the dream to deal with whatever is threatening you. One word of caution--be careful where you point that thing. Most people don't have the ability of doing things in dreams that magically cause things to happen in the waking world. But if you do, you have to be careful that the things you do in dreams don't hurt someone here.

    You can also do a simple ritual of surrounding yourself with white light and protection each night before you go to sleep, to protect you from any negative presences or energies (and potentially protect others from your actions, too). Drop me a line if you have questions about this.

    Alder if I can somehow learn to make that manifestation ability real... I hope to god I can have a dream about a mound of gold or money :O

    Funny you should mention it. Last summer while travelling I had a dream about winning money from a machine with numbers on it. While driving down I-84 in Oregon, we stopped at the Wild Horse Casino (just looking for a place to spend the night), but I went in and found a progressive slot machine that had jackpot numbers matching my dream, put in $10 and on the first pull won $640. I feel the point there was not the money itself--I make enough in my day job to meet my family's needs, if not all our wants--but a reassurance that in my partnership with Spirit in my work as a dreamer, I will be given what I need, and don't need to waste time on anxieties. It was a good morale booster for me.

    That all makes perfect sense. It took me sometime to get used to things. I thought I was going mad. But I read up on it and I'm now very comfortable with it. I have a specific warning dream that uses dogs. I had my first warning dream, which came true, when I was around 7. Today, I just use it like personal guidance. I discovered over the years that trying to tell people what you 'got' about them wasn't easy. So I stopped trying. Today I just pass things on like I'm giving them a bit of advice. I'm the oldest of our bunch so they listen to my 'advice' out of respect more than anything.
