    Bank name doesn't match.
    I received a letter from a collection agency. The Original Creditor reads First Bank. The correct name is "First Card". The account number is correct. How does this name difference affect this account?

    If the account number is correct I doubt if it would make much difference if it is an error in the name. Are you saying that this is from a collection agency that now has the debt?

    It was with Camco for a while now it is with RJM.

    Have you requested official validation of this debt ?

    AFter all if they can't legally prove the debt they can't collect on it.
