2006 Honda Accord MP3 Player needed
Just bought a new Honda Accord, but find the receiver doesn't play MP3's and the shape is so weird I can't just buy/substitute an off-the-shelf MP3 receiver to fit. Honda gets $500 + installation for their simple add-on MP3 player (can't afford it).

Any good ideas where I can find a reasonably priced, installed player for my MP3 music & audiobooks in my car (I don't like Ipods) ? Thanks!

Nothing like answering your own question!!

After searching the Internet & local stores w/o success, I talked to the installer at Best Buys & he found a replacement faceplate for the 2006 Accord that he claims will accept a standard MP3 playing receiver.

So, for about $250-300, installed, I'll have an integrated MP3-playing receiver in my new Honda, if it works.

Just bought a 2006 Honda Accord (won't play MP3's) and, because of the receiver's weird shape I can't find an off-the-shelf MP3 receiver to replace it - they don't fit. Anyone know of one or have an idea of how to play MP3's with an installed player (not an Ipod) in a Honda 2006 Accord? Thanks....
