    Poe's Usher or Pit Film
    In the past, I saw a portion of a movie that appeared to be based on Poe's House of User or the Pit and the Pendulum. I remember the movie appearing to be an 80's film.

    A host of people gathered at a building only to be locked in by a metal gate. I think that only a woman and a man survived the tale.

    Does anyone remember this movie? Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

    The only movies I know of based on those two tales was one starring Vincent Price (The Fall Of The House Of Usher) and another, which was a horror movie that changed the story a bit starring Lance Henriksen (The Pit And The Pendulum). Hope this helps.
