I just got hired to advertise a small painting business. I just did their web site but they are on a very low budget so I just made them a very cheap one from a template. & they didn't want hosting so Google doesn't even recognize them at all! I need to figure out how to market their business with very low money or even better free. I really want to help them out.

They do painting - residential and commercial- they install baseboard and crown molding.
They have their licence and are insured. They do very high quality work at very reasonable prices. Please help!

If you just put their website together for them, then it might take a number of days for it to start to appear in searches. If you decide to use any of the free advertising sites that I have listed in the next post, you can put a link to their website in the ads.

Yes, I know how to do that. Most of my business comes from free ads that I have placed on the Internet. It works so well for me that I have taken my ads out of the Yellow Pages of the phone book because the ads on the Internet work better for me. I have a number of small businesses that I run.

Here is some additional information:

It's easy to advertise for free on the Internet and to promote your website! You just need to know the keywords to use as well as the Internet sites where you can advertise for free that get the best results when people do searches for things on the Internet. It takes time to set up the ads and/or the websites initially, but you will get results if you use the right words.

One thing that is important is to remember is that people aren't going to be looking for you by your name or even the name of your business, but will be looking for the service or products that you will be providing in the location where it is most easy for them to procure them.

I have a number of small businesses that I run. Most of the business that I get is from the free ads that I have placed on the Internet as well as words that I have placed in my websites.

I think I will do this for my own business first and see how it works out - then refer it to clients. Maybe I will charge by the hour because I can imagine it takes a couple of hours to register and post the ads. What do you think?

I would suggest charging people a flat rate to advertise and start websites for people. You know, like give them so many ads, pages, paragraphs, words, etc. for the flat fee. Anything else, then it would add a certain amount to the cost. That's what I do for people. Anything extra would be an extra charge. If they want me to maintain their website on a regular basis, like daily, weekly or monthly, then that would be according to another fee schedule.
