    Transfer deed owner dead 8 yrs do ourselves
    My husband mother passed away 8 years ago, the house was left to him we are now finally going to transfer the deed to his name how can we do this ourselves?

    How is the deed currently listed? If its in both names with right of survivorship, then it's a simple matter. If its only in her name, he's going to have prove a) she is deceased, b) he is the heir to the property, c) he is the executor of the estate with the right to transfer the property.
