Back Child Support for Disability for 14 years
My son is 14 and I finally got a good child support worker who located his dad, we found out he's been on disability for about 13 years, what's the child support that disability pays for a minor child and does it back date all those years? It's in Michigan courts. Never received any child support before and it would be nice to finally have some financial help. I appreciate any comments, thank you!

The child should also be collecting a disability payment if he parent is receiving disability, Check with a disability attorney to help you file for back payments

Good news for you - yes, your son is entitled to direct benefits.

Your worker should be able to file on your behalf.

If you had an Order for support and the father did not pay, you can turn that into a Judgment- or perhaps the wheels are already in motion - and take a portion of the father's SSD toward those back payments. You cannot get back support from SSD if there was no support order.
