    Hair turned purple!
My natural hair color is dishwater blonde
For the past 4 months I have been bleaching my hair
It becomes almost white when I do
I decided to go a darker shade of blonde
So I used a Garnier product in an Ash blonde shade
Now I have lavender streaks in my hair
I have been wanting to dye my hair a light brown shade
But I don't want to get any weird colors
My hair is not frizzy at all from any of this- as my hair is extremely fine
So it can stand to be dyed at least 2 more times.
Does anyone know what I could do?
Besides going to a hairdresser...

You have a few different options to consider with this particular problem. First you must decide if you would like to be a darker WARMER shade of blonde. If you would like to correct the problem you could use a clarifying shampoo and a lightener together and mush it through targeting those lavender pieces, watch and check in five min, until you notice the light purple has faded, condition. The other option is to buy a color one shade darker than than what you are now but do not put any more ash in it. You want to stick to neutrals, and gold will counter act the purple but may make the all over color appear to gold, so you use a color with the name light natural golden blonde, usually means there is a primary tone of natural and a secondary tone of gold.

Using the wrong color product can obviously cause unwanted tones such as purple. I'm assuming your hair turned purple after using this rinse product? If so, that is what caused it, LOL. What was the goal in using the "warm brown dye rinse" (and what is that?). If you could elaborate, it would be easier to accurately answer :)

3 days after hair color change blonde turned purple [ 1 Answers ]

My girlfriend had her (originally) brown hair changed to blonde by a stylist. She does this on a regular basis so she was just trying to have the roots and overall color updated. 3 days later after a shower and blowdry purple streaks appeared. Any thoughts?
