    Home grants
Been in prison most of my life. I have bad credit and a felony record and poor work history. I have a family now and I need a home. Is there a grant out there that will help me get a home of my own?

None that I am aware of. You'll just have to buy a home by saving up money just like the rest of the populace does. Just because you are a felon essentially gives you no special leg up.

There are in some economic depressed areas grants that help with down payments and tax breaks in some areas.

For example you used to be able to get 10 or 20 thousand in credit toward down payments in specific areas of Atlanta ( downtown) But you will have to still have the credit to get the loan for the home
