    Deleting programs
Hello, I have a couple of programs I want gone 1, becaue heyre slowing down my comp, and 2, they're not needed. The thing is or some reason I cant,

The first one (Xfire) I've tried removing in add/remove programs and but I saysi must exit the program first, which is weird because I've looked around and even closed everything down and it still does it,

The second I've deleted once but its its still there and I can find it in add/remove programs but the icon is still there on my desktop (not the actual symbol bust a default symbol for programs, the name is still the same) and when I right click the curser just changes to the loading curser for a while then changes back to the normal one

Any advice would be great thanks :)

    Couple of things here.
With stubborn apps, try uninstalling in safe mode.
Also worth running CCleaner through your system to clear out any old references and clear junk files.
It's available here and it's free: CCleaner - Home

Is that ccleaner just like the disk clean up which I can access from my control panel or is it better.

After the POST screen repeatedly press F8.
You'll know if you've got it as the screen will fill with writing.
If you get to the windows splash screen you have missed it.

Deleting Programs from Add/Remove Control Panel [ 2 Answers ]

I have tons of stuff in my Add/Remove panel. Can anyone tell me an easy way to know which programs I can delete that are taking up room on my computer. The obvious ones, Internet Explorer, and programs that I use often, I know about, but there are so many I have no idea what they are and I don't...
