He really does believe that his is some kind of messiah!
OK, if there was ever any doubt, that this guy is so full of himself, it should be easily dismissed with his new children's book soon to be released.

Just take a look at the Barnes & Nobles review, the photo of "the messiah", hands outstretched, rays of light surround him.

He even makes statements about God speaking to him, and about how he always knew he was different, and meant for bringing the whole world together.

I've got news for him, he is NOT THE ONE, I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!

They keep saying that many people are referring to Obama as the messiah.
The Bible does say in the last days MANY will come saying they are the messiah or a messiah

Progunr guy, you're weird. Don't plan on being raptured anytime soon. It's a children's book by "Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing," for readers ages 5 to 10, with illustrations. It does not include religious hymns, doctrines, nor is it a prayer book.

progunr, did you actually READ the review? (Apparently not... ) I'm a registered Repub but am really becoming ashamed to be one, reading incredibly inaccurate and ungrammatical Repub accusations.

I see that the intelligent and substantive answers from those on the left have continued in their time honored tradition.

BABRAM: I thought sure that my post stated that it was a children's book, but it was nice of you to remind me of that. Did I say it had prayers or hymns in it?

Wondergirl: Why would I want to read a review of a book, from a guy who thinks "he's the one" and who says "God talked to him", and is nothing more than an indoctrination in socialism for our youth.

Skell: I'm glad that your immature sense of humor was tickled here. Laughter is really the best medicine, seems you need all you can get.

NOhelp4u: The only intelligent post following mine. Thank You.

He was warmly received by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who called him "a leader that God has blessed us with at this time."

    Gun dude,

I don't believe in God so I don't get all wrapped up in this messiah garbage you blokes spin. Your intelligence is the one in question if you actually believe Obama thinks he is the messiah. Its actually embarrassing to your nation that this garbage creeps into your political seen. The longer this crap (the presidential election process) drags on the sillier the whole circus becomes.

But hey, it works for you guys. Its given you Georgy boy, Georgy boys father, Billy boy, the B-Grade actor and now a choice between the black 'messiah' half the people don't seem to want and a tired old white guy the other half don't want. So much for Tom's assertion that this process is needed and works because the way your political seen works.

Oh its hard not to laugh gun guy! But it also scares me a little.

I didn't say I believed he is the messiah, my goodness, is it that much to ask that you actually "READ" what someone posts?

HE is the one who claims to have been spoken to by God.

HE is the one who thinks that "HE IS THE ONE".

If YOU could see the cover of this "CHILDRENS" book, you would know what I'm talking about here.

You don't live here, laugh, it is the best medicine, so what do you have to be scared of anyway?

What kind of freaky cult thing is working in that brain of yours to suggest having known it was a children's book? And the fact you admitted to it, very foolish. You're as sick as SkyGem was for the time she tried to bring up Obama's own daughters in a negative post. That "progunr" name better mean water pistols because you darn sure don't need to be packing, or carrying FMJ's or HP's around any children.

I didn't say you thought he was the messiah. I laughed at the idiocy of your claim that he thinks he is the messiah, or THE ONE as you want to put it. Perhaps it is you who needs to read posts.

P.S. Enjoy your break with the wife. Hope it is relaxing.

The decisions made by the most powerful country in the world effect us all! John Wayne McCain and his cavalier approach scare me. I don't want war to dominate my life.

McCain has no backbone? Evidently you have never read a biography of him.

I fully agree that God communicates with us .However I can understand why people get nervous when people claim to be instructed by God.

Much of the Obama is messiah junk has been due to his own public statements and those of his supporters. Various examples have been posted here.

The press adds to this also. I just got finished reading the Aug.10 edition of NY Magazine . Their main theme was that the only reason the race is close is racism. Forgetting their insult ;they wrote about Michelle Obama . Now get this quote and tell me that even the press that supports Obama isn't feeding into this messiah comparison :

Michelle's presence could not be more powerful, but she has done her best to obscure her boldness since mid-June, when the campaign began to roll out a new image for her with an appearance on The View. “All this talk about softening my image just really cracks me up,” she protests later, via e-mail. “I'm the same woman I've always been.” Early in the campaign, she came off as sassy and sarcastic, teasing Obama about his morning breath and forcing him to quit smoking before she gave him permission to run for president. She assessed our divided country candidly, calling it “downright mean” and full of people “guided by fear.” Now she has another purpose: to let people cry. A square blue box of tissues has been placed onstage, next to an unattractive plant.

“She's going to be good,” says one woman, in the audience. “She'll have us all crying!”

And cry they do, sharing their stories of health-care crises, job losses, subprime-mortgage nightmares, about daughters dumping their out-of-wedlock babies at their door and toddlers who are forced to split a hamburger because there's no money for two. It's group catharsis with Michelle as Mary in the Pietà, with the groove in her forehead becoming increasingly pronounced.
The Racial Politics of the Obama Marriage -- New York Magazine

So who really is perpetrating this mythology ?
