Typing Numbers on a Blackberry
I have an older blackberry and it says its from 1997-2005. It works fine but how do you type numbers on it? I want to sign on aim, but my screen name has numbers in it so I can not sign on. I can't figure it out and if you have a newer version it might be the same so you can share your suggestions.

I don't have a Blkbry, but doesn't it have numbers for 'dialing'? If so, try hitting them once more than the letters on it for # (ie 2=4x, 7=5x).. Did it have different text choices like regular or predictive? How did you access that? How about putting symbols in text... how access that?
Sorry... just throwing out suggestions.

I have an ALT button on my bberry
If not, if you press the menu button while you're typing, there should be an option to type numbers.
If you can tell me your exact bberry model, I can let you know.

I went to symbols but there are no numbers there.
How can I tell you the exact model?

If you go to options on the main screen (in most bberries, it looks like a wrench), go to ABOUT, there should be a blackberry model number.

Yay I found it. It says:
Blackberry 7100
Wireless handheld
v4.0.2.32 (platform 1.8.0.137)
Cryptographic kernel v3.8.0.27b
There's more information on it if needed

if it looks like the picture above, then on the bottom left corner of the phone, under the Z X button and to the left of the * button, is the "alt" button.
either press that and press the number, or hold the button while pressing the number. I don't quite recall...
