    A poem of mine
;) Hi! Hmmmm.. haven't shared this one before. I wrote this years ago, shortly after my father died...

    Sweet Mourning

It was a marvel; the way the heavens
seemed to kneel down and kiss the day's existence

Fluorescent and pure, the rouge upon the cheeks of air
Beaded...like pearls and damp was the dew left behind
    from nature's beautiful lips

    Asthmatic to me and surreal

A breeze; tender and warm as if an embrace
    was in the midst

The rhythmn and warmth consistent -
almost as if the world was centered
in the determined strength of a beating heart

It was picturesque - it was signifigant
and it was something like the memory of you -

    Irreplaceable -

    Unforgettable -

    Divine.

Very nice expression, tralyn! It reminds me of the separate times that my father and my mother died. I had specific pieces that I would play on the piano to help me through their journeys into the next life.

    Grace and Peace to You!
