Have you tried to do things that actually calm you down before going to sleep and just naturally drift off to sleep. When I was young my comfort was my TV, that was the only way I could fall asleep without panic. Another for some is reading a book until you are so tired that you naturally fall asleep. I would say find something that can calm you down enough and get you tired enough and eventually you will drift off to sleep peacefully. Meditation is an excellent way of relaxing yourself. Repeating a peaceful word inside your mind, or relaxing your muscles and body from head to toe, just by saying it and feeling it or even paying attentin to your breathing and focus on your breathing. There are many relaxation techniques that will calm down your anxiety attacks. It takes time and patience.

    Hi,
Thanks for asking a question here, and Welcome to the site.
I am not a Doctor, nor a Professional in the "sleep" area.
I do suggest seeing a Doctor, explaining all this to him/her.
You have taken the 1st. Step in posting here, and you know you have a sleep problem. It can be cuased by many things, like stress, which is mental, or can be caused by "physical" aspects, of body functions.
"Sleep Deprivation", if that is what you might have, is somewhat common, and can be helped by a Doctor.
If trying things yourself, like maybe some heavy exercising before bedtime, to cause you to be somewhat "worn out" doesn't work, or trying other things mentioned in the answer before mine doesn't work, then please see a Doctor.
I do wish you the best, and good luck.

No counselor will think your're stupid, they are there to help people like us, who need help with our problems.

Oh and walking is a very very good excerise before bed-time.
Go for a half hour or an hour walk. That may work.

I agree that you should see a therapist or counselor, if you are able to do so. The good news is that with proper treatment panic attacks are highly curable. So it's really worth your while to see a specialist about this.

I would add that if any doctor or therapist or counsellor recommend medicine right away, I would say go get another opinion. There are things that can get done and techniques that are available to you, including hypnosis without the use of medication. Medication is a quick fix. I think that you would want treatment for long term. So just have that in mind when getting advice.

Talk to your parents I'm sure they would be glad to help don't feel dumb talking to them or taking to a doctor. There are doctors out there that are trained to help people with problems like yours you are completely normal you just probably have a chemical imbalance in your brain they have medicine for that I strongly recommend that you go see a doctor
