I was told that I would be going to "a-school" after bootcamp in chicago to learn how to beome a corpsman, but I want to know what will happen in the course of a day?:) will I be able to see my children at all? Will I be going directly to school or will I be able to go home for a little? Someone please help me make sense of this

Depends, when the next school starts, and a 100 other things, you won't know about when you report to your next school until boot is almost over.
