    Is there any special way to cut through terra cotte pipe ?

    If you want to make a hole to introduce a new drain, you can make a series of small holes around the edge of your hole with a masonry bit in a cordless drill. Terra Cotta is fairly soft and will drill easily without using a hammer drill. Break out the waste with a ball peen hammer. Retrieve the waste plug from inside the pipe if possible.

    Hey Turtle...

    To cut this pipe properly you will need an angle grinder with a diamond circular blade (see pic. Below).

    This will cut through the pipe in seconds... wear goggles and a dust mask when cutting. The angle grinder can be rented and you can purchase a diamond blade for around $30.00.

    Take permanent marker and mark your cut... then cut through and should be all set!
