    Fighting small claims
There was a small claims judgement set against me. The certified letter was not forwarded and no other mail was sent to me regarding the court. I never received any notices until my wages were garnished. The amount they are garnishing is based on a joint account that me and my ex husband had together. I have the copies of the account with his name and liability and also proof that I didn't receive information regarding this court hearing. I have an extension on the garnishment hearing for 30 days, but they are still taking money pending the outcome of this situation. I do not know what form I need to file to dispute the prior judgment in Cleveland Ohio Municipal Courts. Thank you, Tracy Moore

The creditor will come after the person most likely to be collected from on joint accounts.

They are not bound by any divorce decree, you would have to bring the ex back to court to address this issue.

All you can do is show up for your hearing, present your evidence, and hope for the best.

Who is the judgement against? Is that person listed as an owner of the account?
