    Hi, Sissy,
    I also live in VA.
    Do you mean a property deed?
    If so, just go to your local Court House, to the Court Clerk's Office and explain what you want to do. They can help you from there.
    If you mean a "deed" or title to a vehicle, then go to the local Division of Motor Vehicles office, and they will help you.
