I need a stage name
My name is Abby, my last name is a long name that starts with an s and no one can pronounce it. My mother wants me to just change my last name and she thinks I should take on her last name which is irish and starts with a g. Idon't really like that name and I think my first name is to boring. I want a name that is memorable and means something. Suggestions would be nice :)

Well, what's wrong with Abby for a first name? It's fairly modern and catchy. But, it would help to know a little more about you in terms of advising you concerning what a last name might be.
What is your mother's last name?
How old are you, anyway? If I have already asked about that on another post, please forgive me. But, it might help others who will come to your aid here if you would let us know again.
Thanks!

"Abby" is great. You can be a one-namer like Cher. When someone says, "Oh yeah, Abby is great!" There won't be any question WHO they are talking about!

I agree! The name "Abby" by itself may be just fine! Just using your first name itself, could be exactly what is needed

Whatever you choose remember that it will be with you for a long time - as you seek to develop your career and reputation. You don't want anything that is too "cute." Try your middle name. Or your mother's maiden name. Or just a variation on your last name that is easier to say/understand.
Simple is good. But there is something to be said for distinctive also. Unless you are already well know a single name is not enough. Peole will comment on your ego.
Make it you. Because it will BE you for a long time.

What's your middle name? How about just your first and middle names?
