    Short Hair Updo's
    Hi there,

So I work a lot, and sometimes don't have time for the whole wash hair, blowdry, straighten deal. So I need some ideas on what I can do with my hair during these times. I have a tad longer than shoulder length hair...

Thanks in advance for the help.

My wife is a nurse, whom works in an alzheimers care facility. She prefers a "pageboy" cut, for convenience, cleanliness, and it gives unruly patients less to "grab" onto. Plus, it's cooler in summer...

I'm in the process of growing my hair out. I meant hairstyle, not cut.

I tie my hair in a knot at the top of my head. It folds down and makes a gibson girl like do. Then I just straighten my bangs.

Judging from your hair length, I think a vertical roll will look very elegant on you. Another name for it is "french roll".

    The French Roll

You'll need to practice a few times to get the hang of it. If you find that your hair is slipping then backcomb all the hair and just smooth the top bit with a brush and be careful not to brush out the backcombed bits.

I've done this style on short hair. Your hair doesn't need to be long.

If you can't do it then I'll post my way of doing it (that'll be fun putting it into words lol).

Oh you know... I went through this thing with my prom date. She couldn't decide what to do with her hair, so she dragged me to a hair salon... I sat there for 5 hours... with about 40 girls getting their hair done. I learned a lot, really.

... would I do it again?

    .. I'd rather get a root canal.

CM, I have this really neat clippy type thingy (yup, great description huh) that I absolutely love and cannot live without. When I find it, I'll take a picture and post it for you. It works for all hair types and is a quick and easy, no fuss, no muss way to do many different up dos. I paid $25 for it, and it was worth every penny. Where is it? Get back to you. :)

    Ahhh, I can't find it. I'm frantic.

    Okay, description;

It's two big hair combs attached together by elastics. You do a twist, or whatever you want to your hair, put on comb on one side of the twist, pull the other comb over and attach, and your hair is up, secure and decorative.

I'll continue searching, ask hubby when he comes home, I need to find it, can't live without it. :(

Nope, not a banana clip. I really have to find it and take a pic. My friend had one, I fell in love with it, looked everywhere for one. Where did I find mine, at a trailer show. Yup, a lady had a stand and was selling them, best invention ever! :)
