Chances are, the pot won't kill her. What she does under the influence... might.

There's a HUGE debate about whether pot is safer than drinking, blah blah blah... I'm not going to get into it here. However, doing anything under the influence of any substance is dangerous.

I've been in your shoes. I'm glad you care about your friend, however, having been in your shoes, I also know that if your friend doesn't want to stop, there's really nothing more you can do than to try and talk to your friend. If your friend doesn't want to stop, then she won't stop, and will hold distrust and anger towards you if you consistently try to stop her against her will.

Be there for her, try and talk to her, and if she refuses, then perhaps, it's time to rethink things.

The pot itself won't necessarily kill her. The things she does because she feels less inhibited just may do the trick though. She may put herself into dangerous situtations without thinking of the consequences. She may get behind the wheel of a car and not be able to make quick decisions on the road. She may have bad judgement with boys and find herself in a bad situation... unwanted pregnancy, std's, boys who will take advantage. She may get arrested for possession.

There are a lot of bad things that could happen to ruin her life. She could also get involved with more serious and deadly drugs. Keep on encouraging her to stop what she is doing with her life. No, chances are, pot won't kill her, but other choices she makes when she's high could.
