I-134 form used with K1 visa
Question 11 on the I-134 form talks about making payments and providing room and board to an immagrant. For a fiancée on an K-1 visa the answer to this question should be no because the applicant will be married to the partioner in 90 days or leave the contry.

Is this the correct interpretation of this question when the I-134 form is being used with a request for a K-1 visa?

If you say NO on #11, her visa will be denied.

Form I-134 and I-864 are issued to guarantee that the alien who will obtain visa, will not become public charge. If she gets welfare, you pay.... done.

:) Hello, please disregard the other answer by "lawnanadee", it is dead wrong. You only check either of the boxes for a Tourist or Visiting Visa. Remember that all types of sponsors have to use the same I-134 form.

On a K-1 or K-3 (fiance or spouse visa petition) you leave both boxes blank and write "N/A" (not applicable) in the space provided for a written answer. Your fiancé or spouse is not here on a temporary visit! It's obvious by what yo declare elsewhere on the form that you will provide support.

The rest of Form I-134 is where your're declaring your assets and willingness to support the "beneficiary".

Again, this question is meant only for when sponsoring a tourist or other type temporary visitor.
