    Substitution & Elimination Problems
    Im a little confused on how to solve these problems. Usually when I see examples it helps me to learn. HELP ME PLEASE!

    3x - 2y = 2
    -10x - 2y = 8

    How would I solve this, elimination or substitution, and how would I do it :S?

    Substitution:

    Rearrange first equation: 3x - 2 = 2y
    Then substitute into second equation: -10x - (3x - 2) = 8
    Then group like terms and solve: -13x = 6 -> x = -6/13
    Throw x back into one of the original equations and solve for y = -22/13

    Elimination:

    Multiply the entire second equation by -1 to get: 10x + 2y = -8

    Now add equation one and the new equation two together to get:
    13x = -6 -> x = -6/13
    Throw x back into one of the original equations and solve for y = -22/13
