    How can I kill the roots of an elder bush/tree?



    I have a row of elder trees growing next to my fence approx 10 ft high. I would like to remove them without having to dig up the roots. Is there any way I can do this or any preparations I can buy to kill off the roots?

    If anything could kill off the roots of a tree, then it would probably be strong enough to kill everything within l0 or l5 ft. of the tree. The trees will have to be cut down, and the stumps removed in order to 'kill' the tree. Then the roots will die. A good point is, the roots probably go way underground and an undertaking that you are considering of digging up the roots would not be feasible. Good luck

    I need a answer from you. How to get rid of the large bush roots that have taken over my front lawn. Now I have lg rotts and dirt , no more grass. Just a big mess. How do I get rid of roots that have taken over my lawn?
