Help! Please

I recently changed my heat pump capacitor after fan stopped working. Two days later, blower to inside unit stopped. After turing off all the breakers (i.e heat pump and inside blower motor, etc.) it worked for two days. Then I changed capacitor to air handler unit, thinking this was the problem. Worked two days, stopped again. HELP!

Could be the motor. When it stops is the motor hot?

The motor is not excessively hot when it stops. After resting, blower tends to work, again. However, it seems that it is working for shorter and shorter periods. When not working, tstat will not respond to "fan on" or "auto"... It gets very hot in this house quickly. What is the likely hood that the new capacitor is defective? Help! Thanks.

It is possible. It is a shame you do not have a real capacitor tester. That would tell the tail. Without the proper tools it is nothing more than a guessing game.

It is possible the motor went bad because of the original defective capacitor.
You can try a replacement capacitor of the correct size or bite the bullet and get a new motor and a new capacitor of the correct size for the new motor.
Sorry but that is the way I see it from here.

Depending upon where you got the new capacitor they might have a real capacitor checker. Just a thought.

That blower does work intermittently, is it possible to "jump start" it on demand? If not, how difficult is it for a layperson to replace or repair motor? How much should I expect to spend?

NO but if you turn the thermostat blower switch to on you are jumping starting it by telling it to run.

Prices vary around the country for replacement costs.

A motor can be replaced by any one with the proper skill level and tools.
