    Cable get warm
I recently had a 15kw heater added to my pool, unfortunately I am unable to use this as the armoured cable gets very warm and trips the RCD. The run of cable is approx 30 ft to the pump housing of my pool. I am not an expert but have google'd and read something that you should allow 5amp per mm2 up to 20 meters, again I would appreciate guidance on this. I have found the original bill for the work carried out and the cable used was 1.0 armoured cable, is this correct.

    Many thanks

    15 KW, 20 m, X Volts; X = 220? 240?

Is the 1.0, 1 square mm wire.

See what kind of marking there are on the cable jacket and the voltage in your area. Even the jacket diameter and # of wires could help.

The 1.0 isn't in the right ball park, but then I'm dealing with the English system.
